Grid Situational Awareness (GSA) Conference

The Grid Situational Awareness Conference was the first of a series of events hosted by Tennessee Valley Authority's (TVA) Innovation and Research department. This 2-day conference allowed industry experts in grid modernization to connect and discover planning strategies, innovative projects, and advanced technology capabilities that are reshaping the future of regional grid visibility and operations.
Grid Situational Awareness is just one capability out of 18 highlighted in the Capability Progression Model (see the CPM project for more). Since this event was zooming in closer on a single capability, I wanted the overall motif to nod back to that parent CPM visual while having a uniqueness of it's own. I created a modular illustration and design system that allowed for the icons to be updated depending on the technology capability. Although TVA has several colors in their palette, I narrowed this event's palette to establish an identity and voice of it's own.
